TTN Gateways in Berlin disappeared?

Over the last months, the TTN Community page showed a stable number of more than 140 active gateways from > 200 contributors in Berlin and Potsdam. Today, the number of active gateways has dropped to 85, from 146 contributors.

  • Is this a real decline or an artifical one because of some hiccup on the community page?
  • If the decline is real, what are the reasons?

Large drops are usually caused by technical issues within the TTN infrastructure. These cause gateways using a certain protocol to communicate to the TTN backend to ‘become invisible’. I would suggest to check again in a couple of days. And may-be keep an eye on the TTN operations slack channel to see if there are any reports over there.

A lot of gateways I monitor metadata are not available, the gateways are active thought an passing traffic thru to the applications. So it seems like a NOC issue.
