Building A LoRa PHY
We are glad to announce a preview of Lua RTOS for ESP32. Lua RTOS is the main-core of the Whitecat ecosystem, that is being developed by a team of engineers, educators and living lab designers, designed for build Internet Of Things networks in an easy way.
There are many things to do, but for the moment the following is available:

Semtech announced a new concentrator chip - SX1308 - to power sub $100 gateways.
Interesting that chip footprint is the same as the SX1301 so existing gateway designs - like the TTN gateway - could be compatible with minor or no changes. Like its parent the SX1308 also seems to be under NDA, data sheet available only to paying LoRa Alliance members and chips only available after passing the initiation ritual in Grenoble.

Archos announes the availability of its PicoWAN solution.
This is a solution compatible with LoRaWAN node. The pico GW + one āpush button nodeā is availlable at ā¬19.90

The gateway will likely be unable to participate to TTN, but interesting price point. Same collaborative deployment model as TTN, for residential use.
Hmmmm I feel a little bit of hacking . . . . .

Draguino has launched an Indiegogo campain for LoRa kit. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lora-kit-for-iot-applications#/
They claim some nodes and gateway, but is only single channel gateway.
