I have a Kerlink gateway on a nice location at 80 meters above surface level. Now we have some problems with connection. I think about replacing it with a new gateway, but don’t want to lose all the historic coverage data. Is there a way to solve that, and link the old coverage data to the new gateway?
Can you configure the new GW with the same GW_EUI and GW-ID as the one it is replacing? That should make the switch transparent. (Dont delete the old GW just re-instanciate it with a correctly configured replacement). (Guess will depend on if you can reprogramme the EUI…). Old device will then need to be fully retired, unless again you give old GW the new GW’s original EUI and then re-use under a new GW-ID.
Thanks for your answer, we will try this!
