Same Fport used by different devices

Hi everyone,

In my quest to learn, I am testing a number of different devices from different manufacturers. I am discovering there is at times an overlap on FPort used by the different devices.

Example: Device A from manufacturer A sends data on Fport 3. Device B from manufacturer B sends data (for something completely different) also on Fport 3.

The decode script decodes the payload according to Port and this overlap in ports is causing headaches. I am not unable to reconfigure the purchased devices to use different ports so need to think of something else. Can anyone recommend a solution?

make a separate application with its own decoder for each device that has the same, unchangeable Fport
