LPS8N, browser cancelled due to a timeout

Hello,

I am trying to put a DRAGINO LPS8N gateway into operation and am becoming increasingly desperate.

I commissioned the new LPS8N strictly according to the manual, i.e. first plugged in the Ethernet cable, then applied the operating voltage and waited.

After some time, all the LEDs on the device lit up, but the right-hand ‘ETH’ was not green, it was flashing red.

Attempts to use http://ip-adresse or http://ip-adresse:8000, as required in the manual, always failed. After some time, the browser cancelled the connection attempt each time due to timeout.

I then tried to establish the connection via WLAN according to the manual (via the internal network 10.130.1.1), followed all the steps listed there and was able to see the website of the gateway and set my WLAN data. Unfortunately, the result was the same, the browser cancelled due to a timeout when connecting to http://ip-adresse or http://ip-adresse:8000.

However, I see ‘both’ gateways in the mesh of my router as ‘OK’ and actively connected.

But I cannot access them.

I have tried the following:

  1. different Ethernet cables

  2. firefox or chrome

  3. Ethernet cable on the switch or on the router

  4. only one gateway allowed in the router (Ethernet or WLAN)

Does anyone know the problem? Does anyone have an idea or even a solution?

I would be very grateful,

Greetings Bert.

The topic title needs to be brief please so that it works on all devices.

There is no web address that can be resolved that doesn’t have a dot-ending of some sort. And the address you give is not in the manual.

Please always go to the manufacturers website to get the latest information.

You need to check to see what the other end of the ethernet cable has in the way of lights and tell us - that will determine if the physical link is OK.

But the simplest thing to do is reset the unit and then follow the WiFi instructions.

And as this is a network issue one step removed from LoRaWAN, perhaps ask in the Dragino forum too.
