How to find the firmware version of The Things Gateway?

Hi,
I used the TTN gateway (the new name is now obviously The Things Kickstarter Gateway?) in 2020 with V2.
Now I want to start a new project and want to activate and use the “old” gateway in V3.

My questions about this:
1.) Can I continue to use the console I used in V2 or do I have to do a new registration?
2) I have carried out a firmware update with an SD card on my gateway according to gateway/firmware at develop · TheThingsProducts/gateway · GitHub. How can I check which firmware is installed on the gateway?

    2), if you do (1) it will connect if right firmware……if older version it will not connect due to old certs. You can check once connected to TTN console as the regular status update message includes build/firmware details. If not otherwise use WiFi AP connection to log into the gw and look at details there….
