Getting Very Bad SNR Values

Hello,

We are using Raspberry Pi and SX1303 based gateway for our Lorawan Network, We are using a IN865 5.8dBi Fiberglass Antenna (Indian manufacturer), We are getting Very bad SNR values(all below -15).
Devices are within 1KM range.
Is there any effect of SMA Connector and Antenna to SNR?
Is there anything we can do about this?

Thank You

What are the RSSI values ?

What spreading factor are the nodes using ?

Yes, low SNR indicates weak signals, which can be caused by a poor or faulty antenna or connectors.

yes, especially if you use the wrong connectors e.g. RP-SMA and connect them to SMA plugs.

RSSI is good say in range of -90 to -110 mostly, some devices at -115 or below.
but SNR is worst in good rssi devices too below -15. and SF is 12 for now, (ADR is enabled)

If you have good RSSI-values but bad SNR then there seems to be rf-noise disturbing the reception of the LoRaWAN-signals. This can be caused by other users of this frequencies or signals using frequencies nearby like LTE or GSM.
