Gateway coverage experiment Lopik/IJsselstein Netherlands?

Browsing through recent ttnmapper results of one of the gateways I administer, I noticed that it received a position from a node located right on top of the lopik/ijsselstein radio tower in the netherlands, see attachment

The name of the node is ‘propagation-beacon-lopik’.

This node had enormous range (due to its altitude) apparently, even hitting some gateways in the UK and Denmark. I think this location also has (or used to have?) a TTN gateway.

I see with some other LoRaWAN networks (Helium/Thingsix) there is a strong emphasis on coverage. I was wondering if this is some experiment to the same tune for TTN.

Hopefully the experiment will be marked as experiment soon because these kind of pictures give people totally unrealistic expectations regarding coverage of gateways.
