For the/my Workbench (most wanted) SMDs

Hello @all

For my WB i need some more stuff and hope you can help me.

At this moment I am looking for information on the topic: Required parts for SMD assembly.
I have some PCBs created by @Charles . I would like to do this now.
When i look at the silkscreen i find some types of needed values.
Unfortunately, there is usually not a parts list that contains an exact type designation.
I assume that the preferred form factor for the SMDs used is 0805.
In order to be equipped as universally as possible, I would like to put together a basic selection for the workplace.

For RESISTORS
390 Ohm (for LED?)
1,5 KOhm
4,7 KOhm
10 KOhm
100 KOhm

For Capacities
100nF
1”F
10”F

For Diodes
1N4148

For LEDs
WS2812

Buttons

???

At this PCB

Saw BTN on the right side. But what is the designation? Dimensions? (Just an example)

What else?

I live in Germany and would like to order the parts at Reichelt.de.
For soldering I have to order the following parts:
Flux.
Solder Paste
Are these the right components?

Best regards

Nordrunner

the price is more or less 2 cents a piece so better to buy them per 100
I just received some from

Hey @BoRRoZ

I know. But at this moment it goes to what we need at SMDs. Where you buye is your thing.

Greets

ah ok
goodluck then, if you just start building some component stock, its maybe even better to buy assortments because you always need that value :sunglasses:

@BoRRoZ

I am not a developer. Dosen`t need all parts.
But a good cross section.

Nice idea,
from my experience (and what I have here a lot)

Yes 0805 because you can solder them by hand without any major issues, for heat dissipation always start by the side of component not connected to ground (ground soldering is a little harder because of heat dissipation) so when a decoupling capacitor:

  • put solder on VCC pad without component,
  • take part then heat again and approach to fix the component
  • once fixed it’s easier to head the GND pad to fix the 2nd pad with some solder in a one step

Basically you’re right
Resistors

  • 330 to 470 Ohm (for LED) depending on light you want
  • 1 KOhm
  • 4,7 KOhm
  • 10 KOhm
  • 100 KOhm

Capacitors

  • 100 nF (mainly for decoupling)
  • 1 ”F
  • 4.7 ”F
  • 10 ”F

Diodes

  • 1N4148 (package SOD-123)
  • SMD Diode Schottky 40V-500mA SOD-123 (ex MBR0530)

MOSFET Transistor

  • Mosfet N CJ2302 or BSS138 (package SOT-23)
  • Mosfet P CJ2305 or BSS84 (package SOT-23)
  • SMD Diode Schottky 40V-500mA SOD-123 (ex MBR0530)

LEDs

  • WS2812 (with chip controller on it) Need library to drive
  • SMD 5050 or 3528 RGB LED (3 leds, R,G,B, need to be driven each)
  • Classic SMD 805 (Red + Blue + Green)

you can find them all type of LED at this ebay store

Buttons

  • Tactile switch C&K PTS810 SJK 250
  • DHT-4235A (seeed OPL)

You can find most of all components at seeedstudio OPL list, and they can assemble boards for you quickly if you take only OPL components, put your PCB, your BOM on the web site and you’re done

And as @BoRRoZ wrote
take an assortment of resistors and caps, to be sure to have all and then order 100 pcs of each of the previous list

@Charles

Is that the right RGB-LED for the most of your projects?
https://www.reichelt.de/SMD-LEDs-Multi-Color/LED-SMD-3528-RGB/3/index.html?ACTION=3&LA=446&ARTICLE=156286&GROUPID=7222&artnr=LED+SMD+3528+RGB&SEARCH=smd%252C%2BPLCC4%252C%2BRGB&trstct=pos_0

For Chip-LED`s, i ordered this one
WS2812B LED Chip 5050 RGB SMD Schwarz/Weiß

Hmmm

Didn`t find WS2812 for thru hole (not SMD) soldering. :-/

For a PCB like this

Some tip`s for me?

This is how my order form looks like:

Did I forgot something?

@Nordrunner
my major projects use WS2812B 5050 SMD, and you got them.

I discovered the 3528 on this ESP32 project and they are small, I love them. I tried them for a project but did not finished yet.

The board you mention use WS2812B like called APA106 in 8mm or 5mm, but seems hard to find again on ebay but found one

you can grab some on ali or amazon

Thank you.

Ahhhhh APA106 !!!

Check!

your order for 3528 is too expensive, got 100 for $4 on ebay, 20 for 13€ is just amazing but had same issue with Mouser or Digikey
100 for $2 lol

Hey @Charles
I know it! But not only the cheapest is good for us all.
Of course I can buy where it is cheapest. But what if it is because of “stinginess is cool”, now only about Ali, because all other dealers are gone in your/our country? Deliverytime from Reichelt are 1-2 days.

But this is OT. :stuck_out_tongue:

Best Regards

Correct, no choice in country or not simple.
For customers I always ordering from mouser/digikey/tme (or seeed PCBA) for production. Always here in 2/3 days and free shipping. Sometime I place order on friday and got them on monday (coming from US)

For 3528 RGB found that one for 3528 I found CLV1L-FKB-CJMNQEGBB7673673) at mouser, at reasonable price

Order has arrived! yeah!! :+1:

And what did I forget?!?!?!

Tactile switches! :persevere:
