Can we still use the following gateway ( or is it toast )
what else could I do with it ?

Its toast.

Only has a Single SX1276 LoRa device so is not compliant to be used as a TTN Gateway.

Use it for many interesting experiments but don’t connect it to TTS (TTN). As LoRaTracker said, it’s not compliant and may disturb other nodes.

Could I use SX1276 to connect to a new 8 channel gateway as it has discrete inputs that could be used

The manual mentions using a Arduino LoRa library, so presumably you can run independant programs on the ATmega328P processor and use it as a TTN node.

But, it would be best to ask Jaycar for clarification …
