I have built a single channel GW with RPi and Draguino HAT.
My main intension was to be able to monitor the communication with my nodes.
However I get the impression that there is no downlink data being received in dual_chan_pkt_fwd from TTN.
Looking at the source code, I also can’t find any code that would do this.
Can anyone confirm this?
This would mean that my nodes need to get the join confirmations and other downlink msgs from other gateways in my vincinity.
Any known solutions?

Get a LoRaWAN gateway. Your node is most probably trying to communicate on the missing channels you have.
Yes, dont use them is best, use a supported 8 channel gateway instead.
