Dragino LHT65N-PIR reports wrong external sensor

Dragino LHT65N-PIR, firmware 1.4.1, thinks it has external temperature probe attached.
The response to a downlink “26 01”, FPort=5 is:
0B 0141 01 FF 0C16
0B → Temperature probe, it should be 1A
The external sensor is not a temperature probe but a PIR probe.
How does one configure proper device type using downlink command?

Have you contacted Dragino support? That should be 1st step if default behaviour of the firmware is incorrect (or their documentation wrong/not reflecting reality).

Well, I have, no response in 3 days…

Not much of a surprise given that two of those three days were during the weekend.

We have the same manuals tomorrow with that you can find on the Dragino website so don’t expect miracles. You could try the downlink commands provided in the generic lht65n manual (command 0xa2) but that might mess up things even more so use at your own risk.

As your device clearly does not work as intended you could also contact the seller and ask them for a solution.

In case someone else will have this problem…
Send a Downlink to Port 5 with payload: 0x A2 0E.
Then the device will know that the external sensor is PIR, not temperature.
