Access key

hello. How i can find the access key? In the new console (V3), I did not find it. Please help me

Please slow down - there are comprehensive docs for almost all aspects of TTS CE:

Home | The Things Stack for LoRaWAN - as seen at the right hand bottom of every console page.

In addition, you may benefit from reviewing these:

Read all of: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/lorawan/
The devices section of: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/devices/
The gateways section of: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/gateways/
The network section of: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/network/
The applications and API sections of: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/applications/

Same problem here. Can someone tell me in 1 sentence where the access key is? Has it been replaced by API keys?

Searching the documentation for v3 reveals no references to access keys but it does for API keys.

For an application or gateway they are on the left hand menu. And your personal keys are on the menu top right.

Link to documentation is on every console page bottom right.

In v2 everything was running fine. I do not read all the docs if something changes in the backend.

I agree with fergocen. Nick McCloud was not very helpful saying
read the documentation’ when the documentation
(a) does not mention access keys and
(b) the https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/applications/nodered/quick-start/ guide specifically says put in the access key which you will find on the application page.

So I have read the documentation and it refers to something that no longer exists. Does this mean for every question every user must read every document to try and determine what might have changed, and where there is no link to what used to work but no longer does?

I would politely recommend instead that users are permitted to update the guides (like https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/applications/nodered/quick-start/) which are out-of-date and which cause all of these questions to be raised.

Does node-red still link with TTN? It seems the documenation is contradictory. Lots on how to set up with node-red then one page that says “no longer supported”

Did you notice the big red bar at the top of the page mentioning the documentation is for V2? And the link to the new documentation?

He didn’t, I gave him a response appropriate to his situation at the time, so you probably don’t have the correct context to that answer.

jms3000 ambitiously wanted to go from v2 of a product to v3 without reviewing any of the change notes, but was given the new name for access keys and told where they were on the web console.

If you want to write a guide for Node-RED and post it on the forum, TTI staff may then choose to add it to their products documentation but I doubt TTI want us editing it directly for them. A forum search reveals a number of recent discussions about using Node-RED with TTS CE, so whilst it no longer has its own integration, it is clearly in use via MQTT.

Hi Jac, it seems that node-red is no longer supported directly according to the V3 documentation. I used it for many years. I am working through the MQTT access to node-red instructions instead. I have this connected and am getting messages from my devices. Now the grind of figuring out how to decode the data object format which has changed a lot since V2.

I expect to be busy most of the rest of today…

You need to be a bit more clearer, for where and what are you looking?

What are you busy setting-up?
