Our mission is to provide the maker community of Tyne and Wear area (initially Newcastle upon Tyne) with a FREE to use low bandwidth wide area network; and help the 'The Things Network' kickstarter project achieve the goal of a FREE GLOBAL LoRa wide area network.
We are a small collection of hobbyists/makers some with industry that believe that hobbyists/maker community should have access to FREE low bandwidth internet connectivity for Internet of Things projects; by providing FREE low bandwidth access to the internet the cost of connectivity will no longer be a blocker to creativity. The funding of the network is based on community contributing and extending the infrastructure.
