We are are a team of volunteers who are building an open IoT data network for the Greater Brighton area. We affectionately call it "the Everynet" and our aim is to:
- encourage innovation & creativity
- inspire people to start new digital businesses
- be sociable and have fun with new technology!
We intend to engage schools, colleges, universities, local authorities and citizen scientists. While this does slow down progress, it should allow us to build a network which spans the coast from Newhaven to Bognor Regis. Base stations will be crowd-sourced from local organisations. Individual projects will be funded by specific communities of interest.
In order to make this programme access ible to the community, we will run free workshops and hackathons.
