Austin embodies the meaning of community in every sense of the word. We proudly celebrate music, film, food, design and innovation. In the wake of our fun festivals we've also had to weather floods, drought and wildfires. No matter the event, we want to help prepare our community for success with this city-wide network that will allow devices to talk to our phones, laptops and more.
Below are a few programs we will be pursuing to get started:
Catch wildfires and floods at early stages.
Solar power usage and storage readouts across a network.
Monitor your workout activities.
Provide irrigation data for urban farms.
Get a mobile notification if your bike has been stolen.
Provide messaging support for large events.
