Which gateway to choose

Hi,

For a proof of concept, we are currently using KPN LoRaWan and we would like to switch to TTN. On our end nodes we use LMIC 1.5.

Which gateway would you recommend if we have the following requirements (highest priority is mentioned above):

  1. Easy integration with TTN and LMIC
  2. Price
  3. We have a Raspberry Pi 3, maybe that can be taken into account

Because there are so many possibilities … I also see that with ic880 some support is discontinued … the baseline is I am a bit overwhelmed with possibilities and would appreciate some input.

  • what gateway are you using and can’t you use that GW for TTN ?

LMIC1.5 has nothing todo with the gateways, if you search this forum for RAK831 or IC880 then you’ll find lots of info for building a GW yourself.

With KPN we are not using our own gateway.

I mentioned LMIC because of frequency mappings/channels. I know LoRaWan is a standard, but would not prefer a single channel solution, since porting that induces one additional step, namely multi to a single channel.

Thank you for your reply which of the two has your preference and why?
