It feels uncomfortable sometimes, but at the same time if what you’re doing is providing more of a benefit to others than it is to yourself then I think it’s perfectly fine to acknowledge that
You make a good point @bertrik - perhaps “good” is too narrow, and I could have phrased it better.
I guess what I am really interested in is those IoT projects that either support a community group or that a community could be formed around.
Sensor.community feels to me like a wonderful project around which a new community has formed, whereas @jfmateos brilliant bird boxes feel more like a project developed for an existing community. Similarly my DILU project is for my local neighbourhood.
Where would you place your bat box project? Is the data shared with other citizen scientists?
