Same for me. It was a lot of money, and my gateway (The Things Gateway, backer edition) never worked so far.
On September 22nd, I updated the firmware to the stable version, available since July, via an SD-card. The update went well (gateway info screen shows the new firmware version), but still the gateway won’t activate / register. See my posting in topic “TTN GATEWAY central 2”. Without any response, by the way.
Looking at how the gateway behaves, nothing seems to be wrong, except that it can not activate over the network. To exclude the possibility that the netwok causes this, I have also linked the gateway to my phone’s hot spot for activation. Did not help.
Will try again shortly, because I have changed a defective switch in my home network recently.
With regard to receiving answers to your questions: on the forum, there are other users responding, depending on the question of course. But, regarding warranty, replacement, etc: I am not very optimistic about that, based on my own experience.
