Alibaba, Cisco, Dell EMC, Facebook, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, Intel Corporation and Microsoft have teamed up to form an open industry standard group :- Compute Express Link or CXL, aims at plugging data-center CPUs into accelerator chips. The technology is built on fifth-generation PCIe protocols and electrical connections, meaning it can top out at 32 billion data transfers per second, or up to 128GB/s using x16 lanes.
