Not sure many of you will make a lora connected smeltery oven, but I find this really inexpensive : http://www.ebay.com/itm/191882447476

Ditch the provided thermocouple, it’s not even good enough to smelt aluminum.

I refreshed the page and it got ¥10 cheaper, now at ¥39 or $5.7.

Seems like a rebranded RisingHF module, but at significantly lower price.

Saw it at RMB25 yesterday night. Limited 2 pieces per order. But, as always with their flash sale of new product, it will be quite some time once the initial batch is gone. No documents yet to be seen. But the 28mmx23mm size is huge…

have one of those. did give alot off interference between 5v and 12v line. only used the 12volt and used a step down converter.

will test … I know its not Meanwell quality but he… what a price

I’m looking for a source for wemos d1 mini. There are plenty.
Any recommendations?

a cheap one

I would say: go for the original. The Wemos d1 mini is so dirt cheap even there, that this way you thank them for their development work by making sure they at least earn some money from the sale of the hardware.

I wholeheartedly agree with this recommendation :+1:, like many Aliexpress customers I often go for the cheapest (but reliable) webstore. However the Wemos clones were one of the few items that gave me issues. This seems mostly related to the “power” (LDO?) part of the boards leading to spontaneous reboots where the real Wemos boards would run flawlessly. Also “accessories” like SD-cards gave me issues when using clones. Don’t try to go cheap here just to save a few bucks, you will loose the saved money in terms of exasperation later.

I understand your valid point(s), support for designers and quality, however this is not a ‘moral’ topic but the BARGAIN basement, I’m sorry :innocent: but everybody can make that choice for him/her self.
Same for buying in China or here in the local (web)shop, building a RPI gateway or buy the TTN gateway and support the hard work.
