RAK2560 Sensor Hub does not send data

Hi everyone!

I have a RAK2560 WisNode Sensor Hub as well as a RAK gateway.
I successfully added them to TTN. The sensor first sent data for a few minutes before stopping until I selected join network from WisToolBox, after which it kept transmitting data for a few minutes before stopping until I selected join network.
Recently, even when I select Join Network, no data is sent. The sensor just sends the join request.

When I try to use specific AT commands in WisToolBox, there seem to be some issues, but as a beginner, I’m not sure what the problem is or how I can fix it. I Also try to update the firmware but the problem remained.

Do you observe the duty cycle for for the device and gateway? In EU868 devices are only allowed to send a small amount of time. Once you exceed it the device must wait. This applies to both the end device and the gateway. Your gateway is probably not able to respond because it has used all airtime it is allowed to.
With LoRaWAN you need to think one transmission per 30 minutes or more, not multiple transmissions per minute which your statement seems to imply.

The sensor sends data once every minute. It sometimes stops sending after five minutes, and sometimes after thirty minutes. However, except for the join request, it no longer sends any data. I have another sensor that sends data once per minute, and I am not experiencing this issue.

What is the distance to your gateway? What are RSSI and SNR values for the join requests you see at TTN?

Sure! I’ll keep an eye on that.

I tried putting the devices near together and far apart, but neither worked.

There are different SNR and RSSI values.

@naqiteam Looking at the number of downlinks you have/are sending & rate of uplink/downlink I dont think you are? Dont just keep an eye on it - per Jac - Adhere to it, please. Max 10 per day and think more like 10 per fortnight or per month!

Your power levels lookt o be going up and down wildly - 16dbm = eu type limits 29dbm = more like US. Where are you? What freq plan are you following. With your RSSI & SNR level I would have expected far better than SF12 to be used (helps wth FUP and on air time also). L-A has guidance limiting having devices join ar SF11/12…

Might you be in S.Arabia? If so this link may be of interest.

Please confirm (and evidence) you are now following FUP…otherwise MODS will silence thread.

Given the frequency of downlinks for that gateway it won’t be able to transmit all the packets and adhere to the legal limits.

Can you check the log of the gateway itself to see what it reports?

Look at the RSSI values! (and search this forum for high RSSI).

I will be implementing the RAK2560 in the Device Repository soon as well, so that hopefully shouldnt be a problem after that.

Does RAK2560 allow user set the period of sensor sampling? Could user check the device log in the RAK2560?
We need to check the RAK2560 generate the sensor data as the period ? or the sensor data doesn’t send to gateway?
