Node-Red Node is depreciated

Hi,
It is possibly staring me right in the face, but all documentation around node-red points to a node-red plugin that is depreciated and no longer supported.!?

When I try and install it - it fails;

Is there an updated way to get data into node-red?

Ultimately - I am trying to get it into InfluxDB, if I can skip node-red that’d be great!

Why is Node-RED integration no longer supported?

I’ve been eyeing off using Node-Red for a while now. It seems pretty simple for the purpose of data management, and will undoubtedly save me a fair bit of code when I wish to take sensor data and put it into a database. I see, however, that TTN advises the Node-Red integration is discouraged and no longer supported. I cannot find a reason why this is. Why is Node-Red no longer supported when it seems to be one of the better options?
