The problem was that the gateway I had was on the hill and the signals didn’t reach it properly. I now have another one that is “flat” or on the same level as my LoRaWAN and now it works.

This is not particularly how radio waves work - it’s mostly about line of sight but the antenna’s polar may have an impact.

As above, you can have 10 downlinks a day under the community fair use policy. Even if you turn off the TxConfirmed the firmware from Heltec is so old it is not acknowledging the Rx1 delay MAC request and appears to be triggering a downlink with every uplink - this is where RadioLib can help as it is far more up to date (by about 8 years).
