No, it is not. Node-class radios do a very bad job of impersonating gateways.
Even multiple node-class radios, because node-class radios are restricted not only to a single frequency, but also a single spreading factor. Real nodes should use at least four (if not more) spreading factors dynamically to adjust to their range from the nearest gateway, and with fixed-SF receivers that is not really possible.
