After 2+ years of ad hoc testing around the Warrington area a new GW has now gone live on what is hoped will be a permanent basis. Placed in Woolston in the WA1 post code area to the east side of the town coverage is centered on Woolston & Martinscroft with the footprint stretching to include significant parts of the Woolston Grange industial areas west of the M6 Motorway including Hardwick Grange & Kingsland Grange and even extending to provide partial coverage to both the North & Southbound carriages of the M6 from Jn 21 over the Thelwall Viaduct across the River Mersey & Manchester Ship Canal.
For speed of instaliation the GW/Ant is indoors for now but it is expected this will move outside and some 3 metres higher, thereby improving coverage and signal sensitivity, as we go into the summer
