A new weather station was deployed on Haugafjellet, approximately 32km away from the nearest LoRaWAN gateway. The weatherstation is a trial deployment using aluminimum rods to elevate it up from the terrain. Using a sub-optimal omnidirectional antenna, the reach is marginal, and it seems the aluminimum rods also impact the radiation somewhat. Still, the weather station reports its data(temperature, humidity, pressure, light) every 15 minutes, and the data is picked up around 60-70% of the time by one or more gateways.
