I have been researching hardware and collaborating with TTN Phoenix Initiator, Joe McGowan, to get this project rolling. Gateway hardware will be chosen hopefully by the end of the week and ordered soon after. The plan is to install this gateway on the roof at Portland State University's Business Accelerator building, 2828 SW Corbett Ave. I will keep the community up-to-date on the status of this as it unfolds.
In the meantime, I will be attending my first meeting of "Thing PDX" ( http://www.meetup.com/ThingPDX/ ) tonight at PSU, with the hopes of learning more about IoT as well as spreading the word about TTN PDX! With any luck, we may gain a few members tonight and get some momentum in expanding the community.
