Friday Oct 27: This morning, at the Silicon Harlem 2017 conference, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer announced Manhattan's commitment to helping The Things Network NYC build out a community IoT network using The Things Network.
In addition to purchasing and deploying gateways at various borough locations, their commitment and vision will help us reach other organizations with similar goals, and will speed the deploymnet and adoption of TTN for community projects.
Many thanks to Gale Brewer, Matthew Washington, Lucian Reynolds and the Manhattan Borough President's office for their vision and support.
Many thanks also to all of you for your interest and support. As a reminder, our next meeting is in two weeks (Thursday November 9 at 5:30pm) -- sign up here.
Help us deploy an open-source wireless network for the Internet of Things in NYC -- owned and operated by its users!
