With a heavy heart I report that one of the first community gateway's, eui-008000000000c371 (aka newie-ventures-genesis) has now been de-commissioned. Located in Mayfield, with a outdoor antenna mounted some 12m above ground, this mighty Conduit transmitted an estimated half a million packets over its 2 year service life.
The reason for the change is that I've moved home! The gateway remained faithful for several weeks after the site's occupants departed, but the Internet connection finally expired on Sunday and the gateway went quiet.
Where will ol' faithful re-emerge? That chapter is yet to be written...
