On March 31st, the gateway in the center of town failed, probably hit by lightning. Given that TTN no longer is a true community network, it's unlikely that the city will replace it.
Originally installed for a private network in May 2016, it's been connected to TTN since September 2017. Hopefully it was of good use to some.
On the bright side, around July 2022 someone installed a gateway named skyhigh-haarlem in the Haarlem Cellnex radio tower (previously known as the KPN-toren and even PTT-toren). From a visit in 2016 we know that location has a great range. And it surely does.
