I'm happy to announce our first TTN GW ON AIR : TTN18DET01 - Troy, MI
The 'name' is what we refer to in the telecom industry as a 'Cascade ID' : TTN (the things network, of course) 18 (the year, 2018) DET (the TTN market, Detroit) and the first of many (01). So, the next one will be called TTN18DET02 and so on. It's a very simple and easy way to know, recognize gateways within Michigan, where and when etc. Here are the specs:
Gateway is a Laird (mfr) Sentrius (model) RG191 indoor
Cable is 6' low loss RP-SMA to N jumper
Connector is Amphenol N to N bulkhead
Antenna is RFMAX (mfr) ROSA-900-SNF 2.7 dBi gain omni outdoor
Located in Troy, MI (Detroit's suburbs).
Also, thanks to our Canada friend Paul for joining in our efforts! Good to hear from ya across the river sir! j
