Well, it's spring, and with spring comes action!
After spending the winter season hiding under our duvets (occasionally popping out to check on our prototype gateways), we're ready to move forward. We've met loads of cool people in Things North over the last 6 months and have attended some great meetups & even a hardware hack in Calderdale (thanks folks).
Now we're ready to build our production gateways & try out some real world applications of environmental monitoring, health/social care & control. We've got some great ideas for what we might do - get in touch & get involved to help to shape them.
We'll be building & installing our first three gateways during the spring to cover the Chesterfield area. These will be located in central Chesterfield, Holymoorside & the Rother Valley - to give good coverage across the borough of Chesterfield. We'll then do some coverage mapping before tuning & expanding...
Thanks loads to the clever folks from Things Network Liverpool (DOES Liverpool) - especially @defproc - for the detailed & tested recipes that will enable us to build our gateways. Nice one.
So, if you want to get on board with Internet of Things in North Derbyshire, then get in touch & join the community. We're here waiting, although we communicate on a day to day basis on the slack channels provided by SpireDigital / Monkey Park Works.
