Hello, My name is John Lawrence, I am the Director of FirstEng Ltd and owner of The Machine Shop, I am also a Lecturer in Engineering at Gloucestershire College. I would like to join this community to build the things network with my links in the three college campuses and through my business. I would like to do more research into the outdoor gateways and have them installed at all three campuses (Cheltenham, Gloucester and Forest of Dean) and research into the embedded sensor nodes that my students can develop.

I am interested in LoRaWAN for some remote sensing opportunities I have come across, and also wondering about uses in recreation and game-playing. I am a novice with the technology, and a novice with a shiny new STM32WL55 development board. I am hoping to learn from you, and share my own experience with many years as a professional software and systems engineer.
