So 1st-off, apologies for the lack of communication over the past few months. In trying to ‘spread the word’ about the IoT network we’re aiming to setup I’ve been a bit amiss in updating the Community page (will try to update this more frequently from now on).
…but this doesn’t mean there hasn’t been anything going on. Far the opposite:
- Andrew Lewis has kindly provided us with a regular slot at the technology/STEM/Smart Cities meet-up he hosts monthly (ChelmerTechNexus), to provide a platform to update people with how the community/network is progressing.
- We’ve had a series of positive meeting with both the City and County Council in supporting the role-out of the network.
- We’ve been in discussions with two businesses that have potential projects that they would like to trial on the network.
- We’ve been invited to be speakers at the Pitstop STEM Discovery Evening, on 16th July, to talk about the Internet of Things (IoT) and The Things Network Chelmsford initiative.
And finally; WE HAVE OUR 1ST GATEWAY!!! Kindly donated by Kear Technology Solutions. This is now up and running and I hope to carry out some range testing soon.
