Wardriving on a rainy day yesterday. Continued today with added data points. Looks like for a gateway mounted 3m above the ground and a spreading factor of 10, more or less it can cover a 500m radius. It can cover Pleasant Homes Subd. + Villa Christina Subd. + DBTC. However, due to the low altitude of the gateway and LOS obstructions, the range is observed to be lesser than expected. But with the parameters mentioned, this is pretty cool compared to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi among others, not to mention using less than 1/4 of the power of Wi-Fi! #lora #lorawan #lpwan #iotcebu #ttncebu #thethingsnetwork #wardriving
