Entourée de vignes et de vestiges historiques, la ville de Carcassonne est mondialement connue pour son château du moyen-âge et un peu moins pour son potentiel numérique.
Néanmoins, après des années d'efforts convergents vers le monde numérique, notre agglomération a pu donner vie à son projet de Pôle numérique.
C'est dans ce contexte favorable, et convaincu que l'Internet des Objets fera de plus en plus partie de notre quotidien, que j'ai décidé de promouvoir The Things Network à Carcassonne en initiant une nouvelle communauté.
Au travers de ce projet communautaire, j'espère fédérer des passionnés de tous horizons pour qu'ensemble nous puissions contribuer à une infrastructure LoRaWan globale et libre.

Surrounded by vines and historical remains, the city of Carcassonne is known worldwide for its medieval castle and a little less for its digital potential.
Nevertheless, after years of convergent efforts towards the digital world, our agglomeration has been able to give life to its Pôle numérique project.
It is in this favorable context, and convinced that the Internet of Things will be more and more part of our daily life, that I decided to promote The Things Network in Carcassonne by initiating a new community.
Through this community project, I hope to unite enthusiasts from all walks of life so that together we can contribute to a global and free LoRaWan infrastructure.
