This is now our preferred gateway design for mast sites. It's a grounded metal enclosure, weatherproof ethernet and n-type connectors, POE, etc. Inside is a beaglebone black with resin io setup on it and IC880a. We are aiming to get these installed in locations with UPS backup and good height to help make our network more reliable. All cables are shielded (Ubqitui toughcable and Ultraflex 10 coax). Antenna's will vary from colinears when we can get at the top of a mast / 3-element yagi's when we are by the sea / folded dipole for mid-height points on existing masts.
