I'm a student at CU Boulder (Electrical Engineering) and I'm working with students and community members to build the network in Boulder. We are planning to use RAK2287 modules from decomissioned miners and cheap RPi 3's or 4's to place gateways on campus, and around town at the homes of students. The purpose is to encourage and enable both students and community members to experiment with IOT devies. We have an amateur radio club, which has rooftop access to the antennas masts on the top of the Engineering center. There are other potential gateway locations on campus for us to explore.
