We keep chugging along on our journey toward building our TTN community and getting some use cases up and running. One of the things that is next on our list is to host a community hack-a-thon, and that means we need an inexpensive, easy to program LoRaWAN capable development board. Enter the Heltec ESP32 LoRa! They tick all the boxes. Plenty of IO, plenty of memory and CPU, and cheap enough to buy in quantity for a hack-a-thon. If we expect people to get working quickly, we also needed a step by step guide to getting the thing connected, so I wrote up a quick tutorial. Hopefully somebody finds it helpful!
