MClimate created a LoRaWAN device that packs all the functionality of standard switches into a compact design that fits seamlessly behind most wall switches and power equipment. These innovative solutions allow you to remotely monitor, control, and automate your small electrical appliances.

MClimate specialises in the development of IoT hardware devices and software solutions that prioritise energy efficiency, air quality control, and water loss prevention. We believe that retrofitting buildings with smart technology is the most effective way to decarbonize society. This approach not only cuts carbon emissions but also promotes healthier communities, happier occupants, and simpler facility management. That's why we've chosen to release two new devices designed to boost building efficiency by enabling remote control and automation of small electrical appliances.

In many buildings, electrical appliances are often inefficient and waste significant energy due to inadequate monitoring and lack of precise, demand-driven control. The 16A Switch & Power Meter LoRaWAN® and the 16A Dry Switch LoRaWAN® address this challenge by leveraging LoRaWAN technology and important functionalities to optimise energy management. Perfect for retrofitting any building, these devices feature a wet 16A relay in the 16ASPM and respectively a 16A dry relay allowing you to automate, monitor, and control your energy usage. They are equipped with overheating protection, support FUOTA (Firmware Upgrades Over The Air), and function in LoRaWAN Class C.

The MClimate 16A Switch & Power Meter LoRaWAN® and 16A Dry Switch LoRaWAN® are ideal for a range of electrical appliances and switches, including parts of HVAC systems, lighting controls, boilers, electric heaters, electric & hydronic floor heating, garden sprinklers as well as most consumer electronics, and electrical appliances up to 16A. You can conveniently use the device anywhere in the property to enhance efficiency and cut electricity costs without a significant upfront investment.

The data from the MClimate 16A Switch & Power Meter LoRaWAN® can be used in any LoRaWAN compatible system, incl. Building Management Systems to control demand-based ventilation. Relay information can be exposed as data points in Modbus, BACnet, and KNX systems through the use of a special gateway. In combination with the MClimate Enterprise software solution the MClimate 16A Switch & Power Meter LoRaWAN® enables ultimate monitoring, control, and analytics of the electricity usage of the small appliances in your building from one place.

“It's a tiny, yet very powerful and versatile device that unlocks many use cases for energy efficiency.” said Lyubomir Yanchev, Founder and CEO at MClimate.

In response to the increasing demand for rapid retrofitting and energy management, the MClimate new devices reduce electricity consumption, and improves efficiency, and sustainability in both existing and newly constructed buildings. Serving as a crucial tool for facility managers and building owners, the compact 16A Switch & Power Meter LoRaWAN® aims to achieve optimal demand-based energy consumption without compromising on safety.
