LoRaWAN Roaming is designed to exchange traffic between first generation public networks. However, the potential of LoRaWAN is in exchanging traffic between private networks and infrastructure owners.
This article describes five reasons why LoRaWAN Roaming is dead on arrival and presents a better way to exchange traffic. As standards advocates, we consider this a superset of LoRaWAN Roaming and are committed to standardize the Packet Broker.
