The Things Network is moving to the latest and greatest LoRaWAN network server - The Things Stack, also known as V3. The Things Stack is not just an upgrade, but an entirely new software stack built from scratch offering new features, integration templates, tools for scaling and improved user experience.

The Things Network V2 clusters will be shut down near the end of 2021, so be sure to migrate your applications and devices to the latest version.

Get started with The Things Stack, discover its new features and learn how to migrate your LoRaWAN projects.

Discover The Things Stack and its new features

The Things Stack is an enterprise-grade LoRaWAN network server, built on an open source core developed by The Things Industries. The Things Stack can be used in several ways. You can use The Things Stack Open Source and manage the open source version yourself. You can freely use The Things Stack Community Edition (a.k.a. The Things Network) for testing and evaluation purposes, or commercial deployments you can team up with The Things Industries for an SLA-backed, fully managed service and use The Things Stack (Dedicated) Cloud. For more information about the commercial deployments, click here.

TTS Community Edition interface

The Things Stack provides a seamless way to get started with LoRaWAN. New features include support for all LoRaWAN versions (including 1.0.4 & 1.1) and all regional parameters, as well as support for Class A, B, C and multicast device groups. The Things Stack comes with advanced APIs and integration templates with well-known cloud platforms, such as AWS IoT Core, Microsoft Azure Ubidots, Akenza and things.io. The interface is user-friendly, allowing for seamless device and network management.
In addition, The Things Network community members can now benefit from extended coverage and network capacity with Packet Broker. The global, secure, open platform allows for peering between networks (for example The Things Stack Community Edition with private The Things Stack Cloud networks, hosted by The Things Industries).
